Summer Bonus

On May 8, the Labor Administration Research Institute released the results of a survey on the level of summer bonus payments by companies listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The average of 114 companies in all industries was 862,928 yen, the highest since the survey began in 1970.

By industry, "Non-manufacturing" and "Manufacturing" averaged 715,328 yen and 902,288 yen, respectively, with "Automobile" at the top at 1,040,621 yen.

I too would love to work for a company that offers such large bonuses!
