How much money have you saved for retirement?

イメージ
On June 26, 400F announced the results of its "Okaneko Survey on Retirement Funding. The survey was conducted online from June 13 to June 15, 2025, targeting 434 users of the company's "Okaneko" website. Nearly 80% of those who responded to the survey felt anxious about their retirement, with cost of living being the most important item of concern, and medical expenses coming in second. It suggests that there is currently a polarization between those who are more prepared for retirement and those who are less prepared as the age of the population increases. I'll start preparing as soon as I can. Reference  https://l.smartnews.com/m-m6wc7We/nohprl

U.S. Cell Phone Imports, China Finally Falls to No. 1

イメージ
China is no longer the largest importer of cell phones for the United States. According to the author's analysis of U.S. Census Bureau trade data, China was the number one importer of cell phones to the U.S. for at least 279 months (23 years and 3 months) since January 2002, but relinquished that position to India in April of this year. China lost its top spot in cell phones for the U.S. because of the trade war that began with Trump and continues with bipartisan support. I thought the Trump shock had a big impact. Lawson "Morisugi Challenge

イメージ
The "Too Much Challenge," launched by LAWSON in February 2023, was an astonishing plan to increase the content of target products by up to 47% while keeping prices unchanged.  LAWSON's "Too Much Challenge" is not simply a buzz-builder determined to make a loss, but a carefully designed marketing strategy that combines visual ingenuity, the application of psychology, and a clever market strategy.  This is a good example of "reverse thinking" that creates more value than a loss-making product through its spread on social networking services and impact on market share. I thought it showed the competence of the people making the strategy. Reference  https://l.smartnews.com/m-lLnQGty/VGItEJ

Japan is now the most targeted country in the world for phishing scams.

According to a study by Proofpoint, a U.S. cybersecurity firm, new email attacks targeting Japan are expected to explode around the end of 2024. One of the reasons for this is that Proofpoint has eliminated the language barrier due to the much improved performance of its generative AI.  In the past, most phishing scam e-mails were obviously in strange Japanese. For those without knowledge, creating Japanese sentences must have been that much more difficult. However, now that anyone can easily create Japanese sentences with generative AI, scam e-mails in natural Japanese abound, and it is no longer possible to tell them apart based on the unnaturalness of the sentences. We must improve our digital literacy. Reference  https://l.smartnews.com/m-lpJC2GY/ciZKVW
