How much money have you saved for retirement?

 On June 26, 400F announced the results of its "Okaneko Survey on Retirement Funding. The survey was conducted online from June 13 to June 15, 2025, targeting 434 users of the company's "Okaneko" website.

Nearly 80% of those who responded to the survey felt anxious about their retirement, with cost of living being the most important item of concern, and medical expenses coming in second.




It suggests that there is currently a polarization between those who are more prepared for retirement and those who are less prepared as the age of the population increases.


I'll start preparing as soon as I can.

    In today's world, where there is concern that people may not receive sufficient pensions in the future, I think it would be a good idea for us to start thinking about saving for our retirement from a young age.

Summer Bonus

On May 8, the Labor Administration Research Institute released the results of a survey on the level of summer bonus payments by companies listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The average of 114 companies in all industries was 862,928 yen, the highest since the survey began in 1970. 　By industry, "Non-manufacturing" and "Manufacturing" averaged 715,328 yen and 902,288 yen, respectively, with "Automobile" at the top at 1,040,621 yen.  Minister Akazawa, who is in charge of economic revitalization, announced that he and Treasury Secretary Bessent and others will hold talks on the evening of March 30, Japan time, and said, "We will discuss trade expansion, non-tariff measures, economic and security cooperation, and other issues.  Regarding the phone call between the leaders of Japan and the U.S. on the evening of January 29, he said, "I believe that the leaders have built up a sense of trust among themselves after meeting for two weeks in a row, so I want to negotiate with confidence.  The Japanese side plans to strongly urge a review of a series of tariff measures, including additional tariffs on automobiles.
